This is an As & When Required role, with a particularly busy period running through to the Christmas holidays. During this period, successful candidates should expect to be available for full working weeks when required, with workloads varying depending on our projects.
We are also particularly interested in hearing from people looking for a part-time opportunity, including candidates who are available for:
- Friday–Monday shifts
- Weekend work
- Regular UK travel
- Camera collection and removal work
- Occasional installation work
This could be an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexible additional work while still being able to commit to regular periods of work when required.
About MHC Traffic Ltd
MHC Traffic Ltd provides traffic survey camera services to clients across the UK and Ireland.
Our field operatives travel to different locations to install temporary traffic survey cameras, collect equipment once surveys are complete and remove cameras from their installation locations.
The equipment is generally installed temporarily, often for periods of between one and five days, meaning the role involves a combination of installation, collection and removal work.
You will be working as part of a field-based team and will be trusted to manage your time, equipment and travel responsibly.
The Role
The work can vary considerably from week to week.
Depending on our current workload, you may be required to:
- Drive to locations across Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland
- Install temporary traffic survey cameras
- Remove cameras once surveys are complete
- Collect cameras and equipment from completed survey locations

- Load and unload company vehicles
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Work at height using extension ladders
- Secure camera equipment to lighting columns using approved fixing methods
- Check equipment is safely installed and removed
- Complete the required work within allocated timeframes
- Stay away from home when required
Some weeks may involve a significant amount of installation work, while others may involve considerably more driving and camera collection.
Busy Period – Full Weeks Available
Our workload is particularly high between now and the Christmas holidays.
During this period, we expect to have a significant amount of work available and will require operatives who are able to commit to full working weeks when required.

You may be required to:
