Position: Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse)

Moon River has recently become part of the vibrant, growing Chalk Nursery Group, committed to delivering high-quality, child-focused early years education and care. At Moon River Nursery, we provide a nurturing, inspiring space for children aged 3 months to 5 years to explore, learn, and thrive.
The role of the Nursery Practitioner is to ensure all children attending Moon River Nursery receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with planned and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Main Duties:
- Provide high quality care and stimulating activities for children in a safe, secure environment
- Deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and observe children’s progress
- Support children’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development
- Work in partnership with parents, carers, and early years professionals
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunities policies are followed
- Assist with personal care, including nappy changing and toileting
- Maintain accurate records, including child profiles, registers, and accident forms
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities
- Help keep rooms tidy, organised, and well-resourced
- Support children with additional needs and promote an inclusive environment
- Communicate effectively with children, staff, and families
Requirements:
- Level 2 or above full & relevant early years qualification certificate
- Previous nursery experience
- Strong EYFS and Safeguarding knowledge
