Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up CNC laser cutting machines according to project specifications
- Learn to operate laser cutters safely and efficiently during after-shift hours
- Support the preparation of sheet metal and other materials for cutting processes
- Conduct routine inspections of tooling, hand tools, and machine components to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment
- Participate in basic assembly tasks, ensuring finished parts meet quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine maintenance, and material usage
Requirements
- Basic understanding of fabrication processes such as grinding, welding, or mechanical assembly is a plus
- Familiarity with sheet metal work, hand tools, and tooling is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong mechanical knowledge or interest in manufacturing equipment is preferred
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material dimensions
- Good attention to detail with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards
- Willingness to learn new skills and work during after-shift hours in a fast-paced environment
