Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) - Oxted
We are looking for a friendly, compassionate, and enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Oxted. This is a rewarding role supporting our Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and Client Care Assistants in delivering exceptional care to our patients and excellent service to our clients.
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the practice, including animal handling and care, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, preparing equipment, supporting consultations and procedures, assisting with reception duties and ensuring a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
As part of the role, you will also have the exciting opportunity to spend time working at our Beckenham Hospital, gaining exposure to a wider range of cases and developing your knowledge and experience within a hospital environment.
The position includes participation in a 1 in 5 weekend rota, a share of Bank Holiday cover, and on-call duties. Time off in lieu is provided for Bank Holiday and weekend shifts worked.
This position would suit someone who is passionate about animal welfare, enjoys working as part of a busy team, and is committed to providing outstanding patient and client care. Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care environment would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
