Duties
- Interpret detailed pattern instructions and technical specifications to execute precise fabric cuts
- Operate cutting machines, including manual and automated equipment, with safety and accuracy in mind
- Measure and mark fabric pieces according to size charts and pattern layouts
- Maintain a clean, organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency during cutting operations
- Inspect cut fabrics for defects or inconsistencies before passing them on for sewing or assembly
- Collaborate with the sewing team to ensure seamless transition from cutting to assembly
- Keep detailed records of cut quantities, fabric usage, and any discrepancies or issues encountered during the process
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience preferred, with familiarity in handling quantities of fabric or materials
- Proficiency in sewing is a plus, providing insight into garment construction processes
- Experience operating fabric cutting machinery or related tools is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, patterns, and measurements accurately
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines
