Care For Your Life Ltd is a successful and growing care organisation that provides outstanding elderly, dementia and Residential care. We are currently recruiting for a Housekeeper at Eastholme Care Home, South Park, Lincoln, LN5 8ES. This is a Full Time position for 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Reporting to the Manager or shift in charge you will be responsible for cleaning the home consisting of bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms and back of house areas to a high standard, taking into account schedules and guidelines
- To always be alert and use your own initiative to spot clean any spillages as they occur
- You will also ensure that all linen and resident’s personal clothing/items are correctly laundered including washing, drying and ironing in our commercial standard laundry
- To work under the direction of the chef when in the kitchen to assist in the smooth service of meals to residents and ensure the kitchen equipment is clean and fit for use
- To be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to meetings, attend training sessions and ensure that The Care Home is a friendly and supportive working
Requirements of Housekeepers
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (which we will pay for)
- Good references from current and former employers
- Good communication skills with elderly residents and their families, and staff within the Home
- Flexible to working shifts
