We're looking for a passionate, reliable and enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly, family-run team at Chippenham Pit Stop.
As an independent family business, we've built our reputation on serving great food and giving every customer a warm welcome. From hearty breakfasts and homemade daily specials to burgers, pizzas and evening meals, our kitchen is at the heart of what we do.
You'll be preparing high-quality food for a wide range of customers, and ensuring our kitchen operation runs smoothly throughout your shift.
Shift Pattern
This is a full-time position working a variety of shifts, including:
- Weekday Early shifts: 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Weekday Evening shifts: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- Weekend shifts: 7:30am - 3:30pm
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a wide range of breakfast, lunch and evening dishes.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Ensuring all food is prepared safely and in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently.
- Working closely with the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Helping to deliver a friendly, welcoming experience for every customer through great food and teamwork.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a chef, cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
- A good understanding of food hygiene and food safety.
- Someone who works well under pressure and enjoys a busy kitchen.
- A positive attitude and strong team spirit.
- Reliable, hardworking and proud of producing consistently great food.
