Hours: Daytimes, some evenings, and weekends on a hospitality-based rota

With an exceptional reputation in the local community and beyond, we’re now looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Manager to join our leadership team and help drive the next chapter of our growth.

The Role
As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with our management team to oversee the daily running of the business and our 20-strong team. Your role will span across all operational areas, including the bakery, gift shop, kitchen, and tearoom, ensuring smooth service, outstanding customer experience, staff training and development, and a motivated, happy team.
This role is ideal for someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, jump into any department when needed, and help keep a very busy business organised and running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations across all departments
- Lead by example on the shop floor, providing visible, hands-on leadership
- Oversee, train, and motivate a diverse team of 20 staff
- Deliver exceptional customer service and handle queries with professionalism
- Keep the business organised and running smoothly during busy periods
- Assist with rota planning, time management, and workflow organisation
- Uphold brand standards and ensure consistency throughout the business
- Support staff training, coaching, and performance development
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and general administration as required
- Contribute to a positive, energetic, solution-focused working environment
About You

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
