Underwood Meat Company is a leading catering butcher, and meat processor, in the Foodservice Industry.
We are looking to recruit experienced delivery drivers to work in our transport department, on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting perishable items to various locations in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire & Yorkshire areas in a safe and timely manner.
To qualify for this integral role, you will require: a valid and appropriate driver's licence (preferably clean), excellent driving skills, and the ability to follow instructions. The Delivery Driver will also have the use of the vehicle outside of work, for commuting purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle
- Load and unload cargo from the van
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Navigate routes efficiently
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicle
Skills:
- Warehouse experience is preferred, but not essential
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive a van, or other delivery vehicles
- Excellent communication skills
