About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical, data-first CRO & Paid Growth Marketing Manager / Executive to own and optimize our user journeys end-to-end—from media buying and ad execution to on-site conversion.
You are not a traditional generalist marketer; you are a media buyer, experimenter, analyst, and strategist rolled into one. You understand that driving high-intent traffic is only effective when paired with a high-converting funnel. In this role, you will manage our paid ad campaigns, optimize acquisition channels (including Meta and Google Ads), execute major product launch campaigns, and oversee paid ad budgets up to £100k. By combining performance media buying with rigorous A/B testing and CRO, you will scale growth efficiently while maximizing ROI.
While the role is predominantly remote, you will periodically travel to our office in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire (up to a few times a month) to collaborate closely with our engineering, design, and product teams to turn user behavior and campaign insights into high-impact growth strategies.
What You’ll Do
- Paid Media Buying & Campaign Execution: Hands-on management, optimization, and scaling of performance marketing campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Display, YouTube).
- Launch Campaigns & Budget Management: Strategy, setup, and execution of paid marketing campaigns for product launches, directly managing and allocating ad budgets up to £100k to drive optimal ROAS and acquisition volume.
- Own the Funnel: Map out and continuously optimize the entire customer acquisition and conversion funnel to identify friction points, drop-offs, and high-impact growth opportunities.
- Lead the CRO Roadmap: Build, prioritize, and execute a structured A/B and multivariate testing roadmap across ad creative, landing pages, onboarding flows, and key checkout steps.
- Deep-Dive Data Analysis: Use GA4, Mixpanel, SQL (or equivalent), and ad platform metrics to analyze user behavior, campaign performance, traffic quality, and drop-off rates. You will back up every hypothesis with quantitative data.
- Qualitative Research: Use heatmaps, session recordings (Hotjar/Clarity), and user feedback to understand the "why" behind the numbers and build deep empathy for our users.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering to ensure seamless tracking implementation (GTM, custom events, Meta Pixel/CAPI, Google Tag) and deploy winning experiments into production.
- Optimize Landing Pages & Ad Alignment: Bridge the gap between ad copy/creative and post-click landing page experiences to maximize relevance, Quality Scores, and conversion rates.
- Report on Impact: Track and communicate the commercial impact of your campaigns and experiments, focusing on metrics that move the needle: ROAS, Conversion Rate (CR), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Average Order Value (AOV), and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).
What We’re Looking For
- The "Data-First" Mindset: You don't make decisions based on "gut feeling" or because a layout looks pretty. You make decisions because performance metrics, data, statistical significance, and user behavior tell you to.
- 3+ Years of Specialised Experience: Proven track record in media buying, running performance campaigns on Meta and Google Ads, and managing dedicated conversion rate optimization (CRO) or paid growth programs.
- Budget Scale Management: Hands-on experience managing and scaling paid ad budgets up to £100k with a strong focus on ROAS and unit economics.
- The Tool Stack:
- Paid Channels: Expert-level mastery of Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Manager, and tracking implementations (Pixels, Conversions API, GTM).
- Analytics: High proficiency with GA4, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and heatmapping tools (Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or Crazy Egg). Experience with product analytics tools (Mixpanel/Amplitude) is a major plus.
- A/B Testing: Hands-on experience using testing platforms like VWO, Optimizely, AB Tasty, or Kameleoon.
- Technical Comfort: You don't need to be a software engineer, but you know your way around HTML/CSS/JavaScript concepts, understand how APIs and tracking pixels work, and can easily communicate technical requirements to development teams.
- Commercial Drive: You understand how campaign efficiency and funnel metrics translate directly into business revenue and unit economics.
Why Join Us?
- High Autonomy: We trust our team. You’ll have full ownership of campaign budgets, media buying strategy, and CRO testing to build a world-class growth program.
- Collaborative Environment: Work alongside senior marketing leaders and talented tech teams who value data, speed, and continuous learning.
- Flexible Work Pattern: Enjoy a predominantly remote setup with occasional, purposeful in-person sessions at our Holmes Chapel office to stay connected with the wider team.
