British Sign Language (BSL) Communication Support Worker (CSW) – Bath
Location: Co-op, Bath
Hours: Alternate Saturdays, 9:00am–1:00pm (4 hours)
Rate: Competitive
Assigned Interpreting is looking for a reliable and friendly British Sign Language (BSL) Communication Support Worker to support one of our valued Deaf clients at the Co-op in Bath.
This is a regular, ongoing role working alternate Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm. This position is ideal for someone looking to top up their existing freelance work, gain additional experience, or secure regular weekend work.
You will be supporting a welcoming Deaf colleague in a retail environment, helping to facilitate communication with colleagues, customers and management where required.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident communicating in British Sign Language (BSL)
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Passionate about supporting Deaf people in the workplace
A Level 3 qualification is preferred; however, Level 2 candidates with suitable workplace experience, or those currently working towards a higher qualification, are encouraged to apply.
This role is perfect for freelance BSL interpreters or Communication Support Workers looking to supplement their existing work. There is also the opportunity for additional assignments with Assigned Interpreting as further work becomes available.
