About Big Boy Film Catering
Big Boy Film Catering provides professional catering services to film and television productions across the UK.
We are looking for experienced Chefs of all levels to join our growing team and work across a variety of film and TV productions.
We're particularly interested in Sous Chefs, Snack Chefs and Head Chefs who are comfortable working in a busy, high-volume catering environment.
The Role
As part of the Big Boy Film Catering team, you will be responsible for helping deliver high-quality food to cast, crew and production teams.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Working from menus and catering requirements
- Preparing food in high volumes while maintaining quality
- Catering for dietary requirements and allergies
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards
- Organising and managing food preparation and service
- Working efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team
- Keeping kitchen and catering areas clean and organised
- Assisting with kitchen set-up and pack-down
- Helping with stock, preparation and general kitchen duties
What We're Looking For
We're looking for chefs who are:
- Experienced and confident in a professional kitchen
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work calmly in a busy environment
- Organised and able to work to tight service times
- Passionate about producing good-quality food
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Professional and hardworking
- Flexible with working hours and locations
Previous film and TV catering experience is highly desirable, but we will also consider chefs with strong experience in restaurants, hotels, events, weddings, festivals, contract catering or large-volume catering.
Food hygiene qualifications are desirable.
A driving licence is essential, unless you are local and able to cycle to location.
