The role
As the newest Customer Service & Sales Assistant, you would join their team to support customers throughout the full order journey, from initial enquiry and order processing through to delivery and aftercare.
This is a busy and varied role combining customer service, sales administration and order management responsibilities within a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
You’ll speak with customers daily, supporting with product and order queries, processing orders, resolving issues and helping ensure customers receive a positive experience throughout their interaction with Doordeals.
As part of the role, you’ll also support customers with sales-related enquiries and order updates, so confidence communicating with customers and managing multiple priorities is important.
Some customers may become frustrated when issues arise, so we’re looking for someone who can remain calm, professional and solution-focused under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.
Your typical day will include:
- Processing incoming online orders and ensuring all details are accurate
- Supporting customers with product enquiries, quotations, orders and general sales administration
- Responding to customer queries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
- Communicating with customers regarding order updates, delivery details and any potential issues
- Handling customer concerns, complaints and delivery challenges in a calm and professional manner
- Working closely with internal teams to help resolve customer and order-related issues
- Ensuring orders are correct and payments are processed before dispatch
- Maintaining accurate records and keeping systems up to date
- Supporting the wider team with general administration tasks as required

The ideal candidate will:
- Be confident speaking with customers over the phone and via email in a professional and positive manner
- Be comfortable working within a sales-focused environment, supporting quotations, orders and customer enquiries
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple orders, enquiries and priorities at once
- Be resilient and able to remain calm and solution-focused when handling complaints, issues or challenging conversations
- Be proactive and hands-on, taking ownership of problems and following tasks through to completion
- Be adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
- Enjoy working as part of a small team and be willing to support different areas of the business when needed
- Be confident learning new systems, products and processes as the business continues to grow
Previous experience within sales administration, customer service, retail, order processing or a similar customer-facing role would be beneficial.
However, attitude, resilience, organisation and confidence dealing with customers are the most important qualities for success in the role.
