Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Handyman / Multi-Trader to join our team.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled all-round Handyman / Multi-Trader who is confident working across a variety of trades. The successful candidate will attend residential and commercial properties throughout London, carrying out reactive maintenance, repairs, installations, and refurbishment works.
You must be able to work independently, problem-solve on-site, and deliver a high standard of workmanship while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- General property maintenance and repairs
- Carpentry (1st & 2nd fix)
- Hanging and adjusting doors
- Installing locks, handles and ironmongery
- Kitchen repairs and installations
- Bathroom repairs and installations
- Basic plumbing repairs (taps, toilets, wastes, leaks, pipework)
- Silicone removal and re-sealing
- Tiling repairs and replacements
- Flooring repairs and installation (laminate, vinyl, etc.)
- Patch plastering and making good
- Painting and decorating
- Fence and gate repairs
- Minor roofing repairs
- Gutter cleaning and repairs
- Flat-pack furniture assembly
- Curtain rail, blind and shelf installations
- Reactive maintenance and emergency call-outs
- Identifying faults and recommending repairs
- Completing job reports and taking clear before-and-after photographs
- Maintaining a clean, safe working environment
- Liaising professionally with tenants, landlords, estate agents and property managers
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Handyman or Multi-Trader
- Strong carpentry skills
- Good plumbing knowledge
- Basic plastering and decorating experience
- Good tiling experience
- Ability to carry out a wide range of property maintenance tasks
- Own professional tools
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable Skills
- Basic electrical knowledge (within legal limits)
- Locksmith experience
- Basic roofing knowledge
- Experience working in occupied residential properties
- Experience working with estate agents and property management companies
