Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients.
- Manage waste disposal efficiently and ensure the proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Support the organization of storage areas, including stock rotation and inventory checks.
- Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including floors, sinks, and cooking stations, throughout each shift.
- Help with setting up dining areas or service stations when needed to ensure smooth service flow.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills are a plus.
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene standards and safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
- A genuine interest in hospitality and delivering excellent service.
