In this vital role, you will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to automotive surfaces, ensuring each vehicle meets our rigorous standards for appearance and durability. Your expertise will help transform damaged or worn vehicles / Trailers. Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Mix paints, primers, and coatings accurately according to specifications
- Apply paint using spray guns, hand tools, or power tools with precision and consistency
- Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as runs, drips, or uneven coverage; perform touch-ups as needed
- Follow safety protocols by wearing protective gear and maintaining a clean work environment
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on spray guns and compressors
- Lift heavy vehicle parts or components safely during preparation and painting processes
- Carry out Estimates for the Service team, efficiently and accurately
Experience
- Proven experience as an automotive spray painter or in a similar role within the automotive repair industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge of spray painting equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Familiarity with automotive surface preparation techniques and painting procedures
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Able to work with Fibreglass is not essential as training can be given

Pay: £15.50-£16.50 per hour
