Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Press Brake Manager to lead our sheet metal fabrication team. In this role, you will oversee the operation of press brake machines, ensuring precise bending and forming of metal components. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold safety standards, and maintain high-quality production. This position offers an exciting opportunity to supervise skilled operators and contribute to the manufacturing of complex metal assemblies in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily press brake operations, ensuring timely and accurate production of sheet metal parts
- Train and mentor press brake operators on machine setup, operation, and safety protocols
- Inspect finished parts for quality, verifying dimensions and tolerances using basic math and measurement tools
- Maintain optimal tooling and tooling setups for different sheet metal projects
- Enforce safety procedures, conduct routine safety audits, and promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with Rollform, Quality control & Despatch teams to meet project specifications
- Document production activities, shift reports, and quality checks to ensure traceability and accountability
Experience
- Proven experience operating press brakes or similar sheet metal forming equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, tooling, hand tools, and machine maintenance
- Familiarity with Press Brake & Stamping Operations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments
- Stock control & material control experience.
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties, fabrication techniques, and quality standards
- Leadership skills with experience supervising or training team members in a manufacturing environment
