About the Role
Above and Beyond Homecare is looking for a calm, empathetic, attentive and caring individual with a minimum of 6 months experience in care to join our growing team.
This role is suitable for people with a naturally caring personality, who feel comfortable supporting vulnerable adults with daily living tasks and maintaining professional communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, mobility support)
- Medication support according to training and company policy
- Meal preparation and light household tasks
- Companionship, emotional support and conversation
- Observing and reporting changes in the client’s condition (mobility, appetite, mood)
- Accurate communication with the care coordinator
- Maintaining punctuality and continuity of scheduled visits
- Upholding dignity, respect and safe working practices at all times
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months experience in care (domiciliary, residential or similar)
- Conversational English
- Driver – with or without own car (company car may be available depending on rota)
- Right to work in the UK
- No sponsorship available
- Clear and respectful communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality and professionalism
- A caring, friendly empathetic and patient attitude
- Ability to work independently and make practical decisions in sensitive situations
- Willingness to learn, follow guidance and complete mandatory training
