Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Traffic Marshall/Gateman to oversee vehicle and pedestrian movement on construction sites or other operational areas.
Responsibilities
- Direct vehicles and pedestrians safely within designated areas, ensuring adherence to site rules and regulations.
- Control access points, verifying authorised personnel and vehicles before granting entry or exit.
- Maintain clear communication with drivers, colleagues, and site management using effective verbal skills.
- Monitor traffic flow to prevent congestion or unsafe situations, adjusting signals or instructions as necessary.
- Assist with manoeuvring lorries or construction vehicles when required, ensuring safe operation at all times.
- Keep records of vehicle movements and visitors as required by site protocols.
- Ensure the work area remains tidy and free from hazards that could impede safe movement.
Requirements
- CITP or NPORS (CITB affiliated) qualification - assential
- Prior experience in construction or a similar environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly convey instructions and information.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites or operational areas.
Pay: £19.00 per hour
