Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Crane Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate various types of cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment safely and efficiently across construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that projects progress smoothly, safely, and on schedule. Responsibilities
- Operate cranes such as tower cranes, mobile cranes, and overhead cranes with precision and safety awareness.
- Coordinate with team members to load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Conduct routine inspections of crane equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on-site.
- Assist with materials handling, including loading, unloading, and organizing supplies within the construction zone.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by managing inbound and outbound deliveries accurately.
- Maintain detailed logs of crane operations, inspections, and any incidents for compliance purposes.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to crane operation and maintenance.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in construction vehicle operation is preferred.
- Proven experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, or warehouse environments.
- Familiarity with operating excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery used on construction sites.
- Construction experience that demonstrates understanding of site safety procedures and teamwork.
- Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and site managers.
