Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Domestic Assistant/Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are kept spotless and hygienic, contributing to the comfort and well-being of everyone who uses our facilities. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures, using appropriate cleaning tools and products
- Maintain hygiene standards in communal spaces such as kitchens, restrooms, and patient or client areas
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and waste disposal to ensure a tidy environment
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or required
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the relevant team members
- Support the overall cleanliness of the facility by adhering to established protocols for infection control and sanitation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Previous experience working in hospital or healthcare environments is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures related to chemical handling
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning routines
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
