Job Overview
Marchmont House require an experienced part-time housekeeper to assist with all housekeeping duties and cleaning tasks.
In addition the duties will include the turnaround of let cottages and also requires some flexibility to assist with waiter/waitressing duties during events.
Additional hours could also be available on an ad-hoc basis to assist the housekeeping team during busy periods.
Duties
- Brushing and hoovering throughout.
- Cleaning of all toilets, baths, showers, wash basins, mirrors etc.
- Cleaning all kitchen and dining areas including cookers, cupboards, sinks, serving areas and replacement of all kitchen linens.
- Empty bins, cleaning and replacing.
- Ensuring all toilet paper, soap, toiletries, cleaning fluids, basic kitchen items are maintained and replenished.
- Polishing and dusting all surfaces including items requiring specialist cleaning treatments (eg antique furniture).
- Regularly wiping down all other areas such as light switches, electricity sockets, skirting boards, window interiors etc.
- Contributing to large scale deep cleaning initiatives as required from time to time (bookshelves, walls etc).
- Flexibility to assist with waiter/waitressing duties as required for events.
Skills
- Candidates much have relevant experience and good references.
- The successful candidate will recognise the importance of attention to detail, reliability, discretion and be good time keeper with positive attitude.
