Looking for an enthusiastic and hard working individual to join our friendly pet boarding business. Applicants with experience are preferable though full training will be given.
A confident and common sense attitude, must be able to take initiative and have a good knowledge of animal behaviour. Experience of working with customers is also required, must be friendly and cheerful, we work hard to maintain excellent customer service as well as cat care.
Duties include general care of cats, feeding, cleaning, administering medication, assisting in day to day running of successful cattery. Confidence to handle cats of all natures. This role involves a lot of cleaning and is physically demanding! It is a fast paced environment during busy season. Good level of physical fitness is important.
It isn't the most glamorous of jobs and not for the faint of heart. This is not just a cuddling cats jobs. You will get scratched and possibly bit so tetanus needs to be up to date! Not going to beat around the bush but it can be a dirty job featuring lots of poop and pee, also adhering to strict cleaning routines. Being an outdoor cattery, the candidate should be prepared to work in all weather conditions. Time keeping is crucial as our day runs on a time specific routine that must be fulfilled.
Must have a flexible attitude and willingness to work weekends and Bank Holidays.
Shifts are split between early mornings 7.30-10am and afternoons 3.30-6pm. Often doing both shifts in the one day. The working hours cover seven days a week therefore, hours may include weekends and bank holiday working. Working between 15-20 hours per week.
Due to our location and nature of shifts, own transport is helpful and will suit someone living locally.
