Overview
We are seeking energetic and compassionate Breakfast & Afterschool Club Playworkers to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children's development through engaging activities, supervision, and care before and after school hours. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working in a dynamic environment.
1 free childcare space is available for working parents.
Duties
- Supervise children during breakfast and afterschool sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Organise and facilitate fun, educational activities that promote social skills, creativity, and physical activity
- Support children with their personal needs, including snack times and transitions between activities and their school day
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with setting up and delivering activities and tidying up after sessions to keep the club organised
- Encourage positive behavior and foster an inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued
Qualifications
- Experience in childcare, education, nannying or similar roles is highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to drive is advantageous for supporting club logistics but not essential
- Passionate about working with children and creating a fun, safe environment
- Reliable, energetic, and proactive with a positive attitude
- Previous experience with childcare certifications or training is beneficial but not mandatory, in house training can be offered in first aid, food hygiene, childcare related qualifications.
