Tanz Tanning is one of Scotland's leading tanning salons, with over 30 years of industry experience and 30 salon locations nationwide.
We are currently looking for a motivated, reliable, and customer-focused Cover Tanning Consultant to join our teams across Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

The Role
As a Cover Tanning Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring our salons maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational excellence.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will support multiple salon locations as required and play an important part in helping customers feel welcome, informed, and confident in our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
- Welcome and assist customers with their requirements
- Promote tanning packages, products, and promotional offers
- Process sales and work towards individual and salon targets
- Maintain excellent salon cleanliness and presentation standards
- Complete daily paperwork and salon administration tasks
- Follow company policies, procedures, and health & safety guidelines
- Open and close the salon independently when required
Working Hours
Hours will vary weekly and will include:
- Day shifts (9am to 4pm)
- Evening shifts (4pm -10pm)
- One weekend shift
All hours will be published 2-4 weeks in advance.
Minimum 20+ hours per week.
Pay & Benefits We Offer:

What We're Looking ForEssential:
- Aged 18 or over
- Excellent customer service skills
- Friendly, confident, and professional manner
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working alone after training
- Motivated by sales and achieving targets
- Flexible approach to working hours and locations
- Good communication and basic computer skills
Preferred:
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to own transport
Applicants without a driving licence will still be considered if they are able and willing to travel to surrounding salons using public transport when required.
Previous Experience
Experience within retail, hospitality, beauty, leisure, or customer service environments would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.
