Responsibilities
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care.
- Develop, review, and update personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, preferences, and health conditions.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and medication management in accordance with care plans.
- Maintain clear communication with residents, their families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Assist with transportation needs for appointments or outings, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Monitor the environment for safety hazards and report any concerns promptly to maintain a secure living space.
- Complete accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and resident progress using IT systems efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a care home setting with a focus on senior care or similar environments.
- Supervising or leadership experience within healthcare or social care sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Ability to develop and implement detailed care plans based on individual assessments.
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation duties when required.
