Project Manager – Brand Activations & Experiential Displays
Location: Northampton, hybrid working + travel to oversee launches
Salary: Up to £40,000
The Opportunity
We are recruiting a Project Manager to join an established print and production team, delivering creative brand activations, experiential displays and high-impact retail environments.
You will manage projects from initial brief through procurement, production, logistics and installation. Projects may include in-store activations, point-of-sale displays, window displays, branded environments and experiential campaigns across busy retail and travel locations.
This role would suit someone who enjoys combining hands-on production management with client relationships, supplier coordination and commercial responsibility.
You will become a trusted partner to your clients, developing a strong understanding of their brands, commercial priorities and campaign objectives. You will also work closely with internal production teams, manufacturers, installers, logistics providers and specialist suppliers to ensure every project lands on time, within budget and to the expected standard.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage brand activation and experiential display projects from brief through to production, delivery and installation
- Act as the main day-to-day contact for clients, providing clear updates, advice and solutions
- Translate creative concepts and client briefs into detailed production requirements
- Coordinate print, fabrication, point-of-sale materials, logistics, installation and project billing
- Manage several live projects at once, maintaining accurate schedules, budgets and status reports
- Source and appoint suitable manufacturers, printers, installers and specialist suppliers
- Negotiate supplier costs, production timelines and commercial terms
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and protect project margins
- Review quotations and production proposals to ensure they meet the client brief and budget
- Monitor production progress and resolve issues that could affect deadlines, quality or delivery
- Manage supplier relationships and confirm that agreed service levels and contractual requirements are met
- Coordinate shipping and installation across multiple locations
- Maintain accurate project records, procurement information and financial documentation
- Attend client, supplier and production meetings where required
- Travel to customer, supplier and installation sites, with occasional international travel possible
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on project or production management experience gained within an agency, print, retail display or creative production environment
- Experience delivering print, point-of-sale, retail display, experiential or brand activation projects
- Experience managing projects from brief through to production and installation
- Confidence working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Experience briefing and managing printers, fabricators, manufacturers, installers and other suppliers
- Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting, quoting, cost negotiation and margin management
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
- A practical and solutions-focused approach to project challenges
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Google Workspace
- A full UK driving licence would be beneficial due to travel to client, supplier and installation locations
