We are looking for an organised and collaborative individual to join our team as a Language Tutor in Spanish (LEAP). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the teaching activities of LEAP (Language Experience for All Programme), within a dynamic and inclusive environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Provide instruction in written and spoken Spanish both in class and online on the Language Experience for All Programme (LEAP) and, if required, on the undergraduate curriculum. Work under the supervision of a Senior Language Tutor, designated lecturer and/or the coordinator of the LEAP programme with regard to the delivery of all Spanish language courses and contribute to the design, review and development of said courses.

As teaching on LEAP programmes, deliver classes during the evening (after 6pm).

Contribute to language curriculum development, under the guidance of a Senior Language Tutor, the Director of LEAP and / or a programme director.

Participate as necessary in the organisation and delivery of short language courses, recruitment and promotional events.

Develop mechanisms and materials to help guide and monitor students in independent language learning, both in class and online.

Essential Criteria:
- Possess a first degree and an educational background appropriate to the delivery of the specified duties.

Possess a teaching qualification.

Possess near-native command of Spanish.

Demonstrate excellent language-teaching skills.

Previous experience of teaching and assessing advanced Spanish language skills at tertiary level (ideally in the UK) and/or experience teaching on LEAP programmes.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of teaching a foreign language for specific purposes, e.g. business, management, science or medicine.

Experience teaching translation and/or interpreting.

Accredited qualifications in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.
