Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Occupational Therapy Professionals to join our healthcare team. The successful candidates will provide specialised therapeutic services aimed at improving patients' functional abilities across a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, critical care units, and paediatric environments. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs using specialised evaluation tools.
- Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient requirements, focusing on restoring independence and functional abilities.
- Deliver targeted therapy interventions across diverse settings such as hospital wards, ICU, paediatrics, and critical care units.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physiotherapists, and medical staff to optimise patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to ensure continuous improvement.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures for ongoing rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated with current developments in medical imaging, anatomy knowledge, and case management practices relevant to occupational therapy.
Experience
- Proven experience in hospital environments with a focus on patient care within critical care or ICU settings is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with paediatric populations is advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy techniques and case management processes will be considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice is essential.
- Experience working with medical imaging modalities related to rehabilitation assessments is beneficial.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
