Join our dynamic team as a Trainee Bakery Packer and kick-start your career in the food manufacturing industry! Timing & Shift Pattern.
Working either 5 shifts per week on full time basis, these could be any five days between Sunday & Friday, shift premium paid for Sunday work.
Part time position for 3 continuous shifts.. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Shift Start time is 17.00 finishing approx 2.00am . 30 mins break.
Responsibilities
- Assist with picking, packing, and preparing bakery products for shipment to ensure timely delivery.
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and organizing stock within the warehouse.
- Operate basic mechanical equipment and tools safely to support packaging processes.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by accurately documenting inbound and outbound goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area to meet safety and quality standards.
- Participate in stock replenishment tasks such as stocking shelves and managing inventory levels using warehouse management systems.
- Perform quality control checks on baked goods to ensure they meet product specifications before packing.
Skills
- Basic materials handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting techniques for heavy loads.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or willingness to learn their operation.
- Ability to operate forklifts (certification preferred) or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
- Experience or interest in shipping & receiving procedures within a warehouse environment.
- Mechanical knowledge useful for troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail for quality control and accurate order picking.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, walking, and load/unload tasks throughout shifts.
