VMS Automotive Group Ltd operate nationwide with workshops and vehicle hire sites throughout the UK with our Head Office based in Stevenage and our Operations centre based in Bury St Edmunds. We provide various options for Vehicle Hire, Accident Management and Maintenance Services from our workshops and mobile technicians. We are a leading provider of transport refrigeration systems, air conditioning solutions and converting panel vans into commercial, refrigerated vehicles.
Join our dynamic team as an HGV Mobile Vehicle Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing vehicles and associated equipment across various locations. Responsibilities
- Responsibile for routine servicing and repairs, brakes gearbox and clutch repairs and replacements, electronic and mechanical fault finding, electrics and all other duties associated with this role
- Completing all work assigned on a daily basis, ensuring that adherence to company and manufacturer standards and agreed time constraints
- Completing all necessary diagnostic analyses on vehicles as laid down by company and vehicle specifications
- Ensuring that work is always to the highest standard, seeking to achieve consistently high customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Carry out and complete administrative tasks including all worksheets, recording hours, parts used, job and defect sheets.
- Presenting a positive company image through professionalism and quality of service
- Maintain good working relationship with clients
- Updating the workshop coordinator with progress on jobs and any additional rectification work required
- Managing and prioritising jobs and workload
Qualifications
- Full, clean driving licence
- CPC card
- Ability to develop strong customer relations.
- Previous mechanical experience and a strong technical understanding
- NVQ level 3 qualification or City & Guilds 3 in light vehicle service, maintenance, and repair.
- Confident in working on your own.
- In depth knowledge of LCV's, commercials vehicles and or HGV commercial vehicles

Pay: From £54,600.00 per year
