Job Summary
Dumfries Specialist Orthodontic Clinic is a well-established orthodontic practice in Dumfries. We are looking for a caring Trainee Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly orthodontic practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both patient care and administrative duties within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting dental professionals, welcoming patients, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Duties
Providing compassionate patient care, including preparing patients for treatment and assisting during orthodontic procedures including Invisalign treatments.
Welcoming patients, managing appointments, and handling reception duties with professionalism and courtesy.
Maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Assisting dental staff with sterilisation of instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
Communicating effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-treatment care instructions.
Organising appointment schedules and supporting the team with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and stock management.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.
Experience
No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided to develop skills in patient care, reception duties, and clinical support.
Good communication skill in English is essential.
Compassionate attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Pay: £12.71-£17.00 per hour
