We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical or electrical engineer with strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines to join a leading international organisation.

The Role
As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across customer installations throughout Bolton and the surrounding areas.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on customer installations
- Diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Monitoring and optimising operational processes
- Supporting improvements in system productivity and efficiency
- Helping reduce unnecessary use of time and materials
- Working safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Providing technical support to customers and users of the installations
- Participating in the company's 24-hour callout rota

About You
To be considered for the Operations Engineer position, you will need:
- A minimum of an ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Motor Vehicle Studies or an equivalent qualification
- Experience as a competent, time-served technician
- Ideally, a minimum of 3 years' industrial mechanical and/or electrical experience
- Strong knowledge and experience working with gas and/or diesel engines
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good IT skills, including competency with Microsoft Office
- A full, valid UK driving licence
Working Hours
Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
The role will also involve weekend and occasional out-of-hours work, with participation in an established 24-hour callout programme on a rota basis.
