French Administrative AssistantOverview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented French Administrative Assistant to join our vibrant team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day running of our organisation while supporting the growth of our work in France.
We operate a children's residential centre based in Northern France, welcoming school groups and young people for residential stays and educational experiences. We are looking for someone who can help us strengthen relationships with French schools, coordinate bookings, and provide high-quality bilingual administrative support.
This paid position is ideal for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is confident communicating professionally in both French and English.
Duties
- Manage daily administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, document preparation, and maintaining accurate records.
- Act as the first point of contact via telephone and email, providing professional and friendly communication in both French and English.
- Build and maintain relationships with French schools, assisting with outreach and helping to promote our residential programmes.
- Liaise with French schools and organisations to arrange and confirm residential bookings.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and schedules using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Prepare invoices, assist with billing, and maintain financial records using QuickBooks and other administrative systems.
- Update databases and ensure all records are accurate and current.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other office documentation.
- Support colleagues with a variety of administrative and organisational tasks, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
- Carry out general office and clerical duties to support the smooth running of the organisation.
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
- Fluent French and strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive).
- Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software is desirable.
- Strong data entry and typing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional telephone manner and outstanding customer service skills.
- Confidence communicating with schools, educational organisations, and external partners.
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to support a wide range of administrative functions.

This role can be offered as a term-time only position, with working hours of approximately 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, making it an ideal opportunity for parents or carers looking to work around school hours.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
