Pay: £38 per shift (each shift is approximately 2–3 hours)
Hours: Weekdays between 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (term-time only)
Locations: Schools across Borehamwood
Commitment: Minimum of one school term (with the opportunity to continue)
About the Role
We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and engaging individuals to join our team as After School Club Senseis, delivering exciting Coding, Robotics, and STEM sessions in primary schools across Borehamwood.
You'll be assigned to schools within Amersham area, and this may mean working at different schools on different days of the week. Full training, lesson plans, and a structured curriculum are provided, so you don't need prior coding or robotics experience, just a passion for working with children and creating an engaging learning environment.
This role is ideal for teaching assistants, tutors, university students, graduates, parents returning to work, or anyone who enjoys inspiring children through technology and hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver fun, engaging Coding, Robotics and STEM after-school sessions for children aged 5–11.
- Follow our structured curriculum and lesson guides (full training provided).
- Support children individually and in small groups to help them learn and progress.
- Create a positive, energetic, and inclusive learning environment where children have fun while developing new skills.
- Set up and pack away laptops, robotics equipment, and other resources before and after each session.
- Maintain high safeguarding and behavioural standards at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, energetic, and confident when working with children.
- Reliable, organised, and punctual.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Available to work on weekdays between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM during term time.
- Willing to travel to different schools within your chosen location if required.
- A driving licence and access to a car is highly desirable, as sessions may take place at different schools throughout the week.
- Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
Pay & Benefits
- £38 per after-school shift (approximately 2–3 hours).
- Opportunity to pick up additional weekend shifts at our centres on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Depending on your travel distance, you may be eligible for a travel stipend for after-school programme shifts.
