A first-line client role with a genuine path to Account Manager as we open our next branch.
We are Lemoncake Events, an events company based in Lichfield, and we are hiring an Account Executive to help run client accounts and keep our event work moving. You would join a settled team, learn how we manage briefs from first enquiry to delivery, and take on real client responsibility early. Full training is provided, so a background in events is not essential, we care more about how you communicate, how organised you are, and whether you want to build something over the years rather than months.
The timing matters here. We are opening a second base in Birmingham city centre before the end of the year, and that expansion creates the progression on offer. The person in this role would help support the new operation from January 2027, which does mean occasional travel to Birmingham as things get going. Once the branch is up and running, there is a clear route into Account Manager for whoever has shown they can handle the work.
The role
Reporting into the accounts team, you would be involved in:
- Managing a set of client accounts and keeping each brief on track
- Coordinating the details behind live events and day-to-day account activity
- Building steady, reliable relationships with clients and suppliers
- Working to agreed deadlines and service standards with the wider team
- Learning how accounts are quoted, delivered, retained, and grown
Responsibility increases as your confidence and track record build.
Training and development
You would be supported through:
- A proper onboarding period with role-specific training
- Regular one-to-one feedback and coaching
- Practical development in client handling, coordination, and organisation
- Early exposure to how account management works ahead of the Birmingham move
Progression is based on performance, with clear expectations set out from the start.

- Someone at the start of their career, or changing direction into events and client work
- Candidates from retail, hospitality, admin, or other customer-facing roles
- Clear, confident communicators who stay organised under a busy schedule
- People happy to travel to Birmingham periodically from January 2027
- Anyone genuinely interested in stepping up to Account Manager as we expand
