Chef de Partie Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced chef de partie to join our team and work in our newly refurbished bar & restaurant.
The Chef de Partie will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards. They must possess strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. This position offers an opportunity for growth and development within the culinary field.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook dishes according to the recipes and specifications provided by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
2. Set up and stock the assigned station with all necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment.
3. Ensure that all food items are prepared and cooked to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
4. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
5. Coordinate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
6. Assist in the development and testing of new recipes and menu items.
7. Monitor and control portion sizes and waste to minimize food costs.
8. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
9. Maintain a clean and organized station, including proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and equipment.
10. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
2. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
6. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
7. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
9. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
