Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Carpentry Site Supervisor to join our team on an exciting new build housing project in Brentwood, Essex area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional looking to contribute to quality residential developments.
Key Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: £180 to £250 per day (Daily rate negotiable, dependent on experience)
- Work Location: On site, in person
Responsibilities
- Organise and coordinate the workforce to ensure the site programme is met.
- Supervise all carpentry works including snagging, joists, roofs, 1st fix, 2nd fix and finals.
- Complete all required Quality Assurance (QA) sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Interpret and work from detailed drawings and specifications, adhering to NHBC building standards throughout.
- Report regularly to the Contracts Manager, who will provide ongoing support and guidance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry site supervision, background as a sub-contractor is essential.
- Previous involvement in new build housing sites is essential.
- Valid CSCS card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
- Ability to read, understand and work from technical drawings and details.
- Familiarity with NHBC standards and best practices.
- Team player who is approachable and prepared to assist.
