We are looking for a highly organised and dependable Farm Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Farm Manager and wider farm team at Bishop Burton College.
You may currently be working in an administrative or finance role, processing invoices, maintaining accurate records and managing competing deadlines or you could already be working within a farm, agricultural business or rural organisation.
You will support the efficient running of the College Farm by processing invoices, maintaining financial records and assisting with monthly reporting. You will also help manage livestock records and movements, maintain farm databases and ensure documentation is accurate, accessible and ready for audits and inspections. Working closely with the farm team, you will support compliance with Red Tractor standards and help maintain records relating to medicines, feed, livestock treatments, health and safety, and staff training.
The successful candidate will have excellent administrative and organisational skills, a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail. You will be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, and able to manage several tasks and deadlines. Experience of financial administration and invoice processing is essential, while experience within an agricultural, farming or rural environment would be an advantage.
At Bishop Burton College, you will join a welcoming and hardworking farm team based on our 300-hectare commercial mixed farm, which includes arable land, pigs, cattle and sheep. This is an excellent opportunity to use your administrative skills in a varied role while supporting a sustainable working farm that provides valuable practical learning opportunities for our students.
