Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the aesthetic appeal of residential, commercial, or industrial environments. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion and smooth finishes
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding to achieve desired effects
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand decorating requirements and provide expert advice on color schemes and finishes
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Transport equipment and materials safely to different job sites using a valid driving license
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and suppliers
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately
- Strong knowledge of different paints, materials, techniques, and surface preparation methods
- Valid driving license for transportation between multiple job sites
- Good physical stamina for standing, climbing ladders, lifting materials, and working in various environments
- Fluency in English for clear communication and understanding of instructions

Pay: £14.50-£23.34 per hour
