Are you an experienced transport professional with a passion for leading teams and driving operational excellence?
We are looking for a Transport First Line Manager to join our fast-paced operation, where you will play a key role in managing daily transport activities, ensuring compliance, and supporting a high-performing team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
Ensure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and ensure clear communication between all functions within the transport department and the warehouse team
To lead the work activities of the drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development
Carrying out HR Management tasks such as staff reviews, appraisals, absence management and disciplinaries
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Proven people management experience within a transport environment, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
Previous experience working within a transport office or wider supply chain operation
Strong understanding of working within a unionised environment and building positive working relationships
Competent in Microsoft Office applications; experience using Tachomaster is desirable
Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to embrace change and support the implementation of new processes and ways of working
