Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced 7.5-tonne multi drop day Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver a wide range of goods efficiently and safely, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the high standards of our delivery service. As a key member of our transportation operation, you will be responsible for executing timely deliveries, managing vehicle safety, and providing excellent customer service with energy and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5t vehicle for local or regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload goods with care, ensuring items are transported without damage
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption while meeting delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery confirmations
- Uphold a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with clients during deliveries
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with delivery driver experience preferred
- Valid 7.5t driving license with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of driving regulations, health & safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance basics
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other route planning tools efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle physical tasks involved in loading/unloading
