A leading provider of SEN education, is seeking motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive team in a Primary school located in Treharris, Merthyr Tydfil. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners, particularly within the special educational needs (SEN) sector.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality classroom support to pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support that meets individual pupil needs
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities and classroom routines
- Support students with SEN to encourage their social and academic development
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organised classroom environment
- Promote inclusion, independence, and confidence among pupils
- Perform personal care responsibilities when needed
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience (minimum 3 months) working with children, ideally within a primary or SEN setting
- Strong communication and team-working skills
- Competence with personal care tasks
- A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one
- Driving licence (desirable but not essential)
