We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading our kitchen team and maintaining the high standards that our guests have come to expect.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role within the kitchen, assisting with the day-to-day management of operations while ensuring exceptional food quality and consistency. You will support the Head Chef with menu development, stock management, team training, and maintaining a positive and productive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Lead kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards.
- Assist with menu planning, seasonal specials, and recipe development.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and food cost control.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety regulations.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior members of the kitchen team.
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes.
- Help create a positive, professional, and motivated kitchen culture.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of fresh food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced service environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Must be willing and able to travel between company venues when required.
- Passion for food, hospitality, and continuous professional development.
