Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with sales, and maintaining an organised shop environment. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage time efficiently while ensuring that all customers have a positive shopping experience.
Duties
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
- Sell products and handle transactions accurately.
- Maintain an organised and tidy shop floor, ensuring that products are displayed attractively.
- Manage stock levels and assist with inventory control.
- Communicate effectively with customers in both English and Spanish (bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus).
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls.
- Perform basic maths calculations for transactions and stock management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shop operations.
- Utilise time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively throughout the day.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service needed .
- Strong communication skills in English; or other languages is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory tasks.
- Excellent organisational abilities to maintain a well-presented shop environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing time effectively.
