Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to recipes and organisational standards
- Assist with meal planning and portion control to minimise waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and at appropriate temperatures
- Support the team during busy periods, including serving meals when required
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends if necessary
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and providing excellent service to customers
Pay: £13.54 per hour
