We are seeking a passionate and energetic Cook/Chef to join our busy family Cafe/restaurant! Through popular demand we have extended our business hours and are looking for an extra cook to delve Into this role and add their own twist to what we already have. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your enthusiasm for culinary arts will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items with precision and flair, following established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, maintaining strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Assist in meal planning, portion control, and presentation to deliver visually appealing dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of meals
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for everyone
Qualifications
- Holds a Food Hygiene/HACCP Certificate
- Computer Literacy
- Manage stock levels and assist with food orders if required
- Can plan menus and manage portion control within a budget
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a clean working environment
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- A genuine passion for cooking and creating delightful dishes that satisfy guests’ taste
