We are looking for a passionate, friendly, and animal-loving individual to join our busy store in Shavington, Cheshire as a Retail Assistant & Trainee Canine Nutritionist.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a hardworking, honest, and reliable individual to join the Homefeeds family in a permanent full-time position. We are looking for someone to provide high class customer service, helping dog owners make informed choices about nutrition, treats, supplements and everyday products.
Based at our Crewe site, along with giving our customers expertise advice on nutrition, you will be required to assist in the efficient day to day running of our large retail store.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist any customers in store on canine nutrition queries with confidence and empathy.
- Recommend appropriate products based on each dog’s individual needs.
- Offer phone-based consultations to ensure customers receive informed information about their dog’s diet.
- Stay up to date with all developments within the canine nutrition field.
- Work closely with marketing to provide customer insights and feedback.
- Support with promotional activities and events.
- Process sales and operate the tills confidently and efficiently.
- Receive deliveries, replenish stock and assist with regular and annual stock checks.
- Keep in store areas clean, tidy and obstacle free at all times.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a genuine passion for dogs/animals and a strong keen interest in the canine nutrition world.
- Canine nutrition knowledge preferred, however full training will be given.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Have excellent customer service skills and be able to help our customers make informed choices for their pets.
- Have strong communication skills via face to face, telephone, emails and social media.
- Be physically fit and capable of handling heavy items up to 20kg.
- Be comfortable working in a busy retail environment.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Be flexible for extra hours/holiday cover.
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
