Are you an experienced Health Care Assistant or someone who is looking for a change in direction? If so, the Intensive Care Unit at Hillingdon Hospital could be the place for you.
The unit comprises of 8 Level 3 Intensive Care beds and 4 Level 2 High Dependency beds. We care for patients from all specialities including those undergoing major surgery, patients from the Emergency Department as well as those who are already within the hospital.
We are looking to grow our current team of HCAs to support our medical and nursing staff who provide care for the sickest patients in the hospital. Ideally you will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care but this is not essential as training will be given.

1. The Health Care Assistant worker will provide patient centred, compassionate care at all times and advocate for the patient.
2. The healthcare assistant/support worker is a member of the team that delivers clinical care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Tasks are delegated by the registered nurse. And are within the scope of practice of the Health Care Assistant worker
3. The post holder is responsible for ensuring that patients are cared for in a safe environment and that privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
4. The post holder will assist with care under direction and supervision of a Registered nurse and provide verbal and written reports.
5 To actively seek the views of patients / carers on their understanding of their care needs and develop a relationship to ensure the patients experience is positive.
