Chisou is one of London’s longest-established Japanese restaurants, serving authentic Japanese cuisine in an intimate and welcoming setting in the heart of Knightsbridge. Our menu includes beautifully presented sushi and sashimi, tempura, robata, noodles and traditional Japanese dishes, alongside an extensive sake and drinks selection.
We are looking for a Full-Time Front of House Team Member to join our team at our Knightsbridge restaurant.
The Role
As a member of our Front of House team, you will play an important role in creating a warm, knowledgeable and professional experience for every guest.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and looking after guests throughout their visit
- Taking food and drink orders accurately and confidently
- Providing knowledgeable service and explaining dishes and ingredients
- Learning about Japanese cuisine, sushi, sake and our drinks selection
- Serving food and drinks to a high standard
- Maintaining excellent table presentation and restaurant standards
- Working closely with the kitchen, sushi chefs and wider restaurant team
- Handling payments and operating the restaurant's booking and EPOS systems
- Helping with opening, closing and general restaurant duties
- Ensuring our guests receive friendly, attentive and efficient service
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely enjoys hospitality
- Confident and comfortable speaking with guests
- Professional, well presented and reliable
- A good communicator and team player
- Able to work calmly in a busy restaurant environment
- Passionate about food and interested in Japanese cuisine
- Keen to learn about sushi, sake and Japanese dining culture
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right person
